Conference on Constructive Approximation of Functions 3

A conference in honor of Stefano De Marchi on his 60th birthday

The conference will be held in Krakow, Poland, 22-24 February 2023.

The conference is organized by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Applied Sciences in Tarnow and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University.

The conference will be held in a hybrid form: although it will bepossible to participate online, personal presence will be welcome.

The event will take at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Jagiellonian University (ul. Prof. S. Łojasiewicza 6, 30-348 Kraków).

The general theme of the meeting concerns various aspects of complex analysis, especially: approximation theory, numerical analysis, constructive theory of functions, pluricomplex analysis, (pluri)potential theory, polynomial properties. Another important aspect of the CAF meetings, previously held in Będlewo 2014,  and Tarnów 2021, is to promote the creation and maintenance of contacts with scientists from diverse cultures.

The conference program consists of invited 50 minute lectures, and contributed 20 minute talks.

The organizers are very proud that the following eminent mathematicians have agreed to deliver the plenary lectures:

Mirosław Baran, Pedagogical University of Cracow, Poland
András Kroó, Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary
Michael A. Slawinski, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada
Gianluca Vinti, Università degli Studi di Perugia, Italy

Other participants are welcome to deliver a talk (20 min) after acceptance by the Scientific Committee.
